Planning on putting down roots in The Big Peach? Atlanta, Georgia is one of the sweetest spots in the South — known for its rich history, delicious dining, and abundant green spaces.

Green Spaces

In fact, the grass IS greener in Atlanta. It’s something the people of the city make sure of because they take great pride in their parks and green spaces. Atlanta is all about culture and…horticulture too. Home to over 5.7 million people, much of the population consists of young people. The median age is 33. Although it’s a bustling city, the residents insist on packing the place with plenty of urban parks, walkable neighborhoods, and outdoor amenities. 4.3% of the city is devoted to green space.

Atlanta is surrounded by forests which makes for awesome hiking, biking, fishing in the rivers, and camping. Inside the city, there are 10 awesome parks in Atlanta that include several secluded secret gardens. The Japanese Zen Garden is a favorite place for locals and tourists to visit and you can’t beat kicking back with Cocktails in the Garden when it’s time to wind down.
