The U.S. is loaded with states that have lots of things to offer — like beautiful scenery, fun things to do, and winning economies. Pittsburgh is a loser in all those categories and then some. It’s home to the Pittsburgh Steelers…and that’s about it.
Absentee Fans
Pittsburgh is so bad, even die-hard Steelers fans won’t live there. When the steel mills began to close up in the 80s, the residents began an exodus out of the city that hasn’t stopped yet. Now that the fans have found better places to live, they’re scattered all over the U.S.
Even those who root for the team from afar are throwing in the towel…the Terrible Towel, that is.
There’s a lot of friction and not just on the field. Despite the fact that the Steelers have won six of the eight Super Bowls they’ve played in (including four in six years), Steelers fans are known to complain a lot which the players don’t find cool at all.

What is cool is the weather in Pittsburgh. Actually, it’s downright freezing. The winters are bitter cold with temperatures that hover around the 30s and 40s by day but dipping below freezing at night. About 28 inches of slushy snow falls every year…
