Instagram Growth is Hard

If you don’t know what you’re doing, you’re gonna have a heck of a time trying to grow a page from the bottom.

That’s what this article is for.

I’m going to share the exact strategy I use to bring my new pages from 0 followers to 100 followers. Most of the time, I reach 100 followers in 2 days using this strategy.

Who Am I?

Hi, my name is Markie and I’ve been growing Instagram pages for the last year.

From personal pages to regular old theme pages, I’ve done it all. Follow/Unfollow, posting 3 times a day, hashtag strategy, I’ve tried every single “trick” imaginable to grow my pages.

I’ve tried every single “trick” imaginable to grow my pages.

In this article, I’m showing you exactly what I do to start off a new instagram page. I follow this strategy pretty religiously so I recommend you do too.

1. Create The Instagram Account

I don’t just mean type in your email and password. I mean:

  1. add a profile pic // make it attractive
  1. choose a username // IG SEO friendly
  2. choose a name // quickly explains what your page is about (if it’s not a personal page)
  3. make an aesthetic bio // has to look good AND explain what you do
  4. add highlights such as “About Me” and “FAQ” // These are great for explaining in even more detail what you do

2. Amass Content

Whenever I start a new IG page, I do two things:

A. Immediately post 9 images (to fill up a full grid)

The reason I want to fill up a whole grid is pretty simple.

Anybody who stumbles upon my account will decide if they want to follow me or not. 9 posts are more than enough to convince them of the quality of my content.

IN ADDITION, having a full grid makes my new account feel less like a new account.

B. Post 2–3 times a day for 30 days

Trust me, I was incredulous at first too. 90 posts is a lot for anybody. Once again, the reasoning is pretty simple.

Starting out, you have no audience and worse, no credibility. Posting consistently is the #1 way to create a reputation. Once you have a reputation, the followers begin to accumulate.

3. Engage With Everyone

There are two sections to this part of my strategy. The first one is an easy, natural way to engage with others. The second one is a controversial, bannable way to engage with others.

The main difference between these two? The second one gets 10X the amount of followers than the first one.

I won’t be going into detail for either of these methods because it would make this article way too long. Don’t worry though, I’ll be writing separate articles for each of them soon.

4. BONUS // Use Stories, IGTV, and Reels

In addition to posting 2–3 time a day, you should also regularly post stories, IGTV, and Reels (especially this in 2020) to grow even quicker. Here are some ideas:

  1. Stories // post a preview to your post with a little extra information
  2. IGTV // post informational short videos or compilations
  3. Reels // More info but in a quick, entertaining style

Usually, I use these to scale my account vertically AFTER I hit 1,000–2,000 followers. If you use these extra Instagram features at a small size though, it’ll allow you to hit 100 followers even quicker.

Final Thought

There you go! That’s the exact strategy I’ve used to grow every single one of my pages successfully. The strategy is easy to understand, the execution is hard (90 posts got me like 😓).

If you want more content like this, follow me! I’m on a 90 day posting spree.
