10 Reasons Texas is Better Than California.
Everybody is starting to realize that Texas is the move
In the last several months, hundreds of thousands of people have been moving from California to Texas. From comedians like Joe Rogan to actors like Matthew McConaughey, it seems like California is driving everyone away.
It’s not only California’s wildfires or extremely high taxes that are turning people off. In this article, we’re covering 10 reasons Texas is better than California.
1. Cost of living
Cost of living is basically the same thing as life quality. Without any sugar-coating, Texas is a much more cost-effective state to be in. In MIT’s 2019 research, they looked at food, child care, housing, and transportation, to determine the cost of living in each state. They found out that California was more expensive than Texas in all respects. At a difference of $579, the average Californian spends more on food than the Texan within a year.
In addition, it takes more than $32,000 to raise a single child in California, while in Texas, it only takes about $25,000. The only sector where it seems Texans spend more is on transportation.
